About Carleton Community Baptist Church
Carleton Community Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church located in the Village of Carleton at the north end of Michigan's Monroe County. We are conveniently located next to I-275 and not far from I-75 or I-94. Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) is only 20 minutes away. The Village of Carleton is a beautiful country town with farm land along with stands of trees. Lake Erie is just minutes away for summer and winter fun. Carleton is a bedroom community with no large subdivisions, just a beautiful country town.
Carleton Community Baptist Church was established in 1956. It has had seven pastors during that time. Dr. Ed Mason is its current pastor and has been with the church since 1980. He is a graduate of Bob Jones University (BS in Accounting), FaithWay Baptist College (BA in Bible; MA in Bible) and Northland Baptist Bible College (DSM). He loves to preach exegetically through books of the Bible.
CCBC is an independent Baptist church. We are self-governing and self-supporting. The head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ. The pastor is the under shepherd who guides the church under the direction of Christ. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice.
The work of missions is a key element of CCBC. We believe that each member of the church is responsible to carry out the commission of Christ as given in Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8. As a church, we provide the means to carry out that commission through our Faith Promise Mission Offering. CCBC currently supports 24 missionaries around the world. Every year we have an exciting Mission Conference where the people are challenged to surrender to go to the mission field and surrender to give to missions. Each month the church invites a different missionary to present the work God has called them to do.
